They illustrate the development of a cascade from large-scale to small-scale structures in flavor wave patterns.

In the bottom panel, the transition from red to blue color indicates a complete flavor conversion ( \( P_{ex} = 1 \) ) from electron-type to heavy-leptonic flavors.
